At 24, Adnan Aziz is not looking for a shortcut into professional football. The Beninese striker has spent years moving between countries, adapting to different football cultures and rebuilding his place each time, all with one ambition still driving him: earning the right to represent Benin at senior international level.
Born on January 1, 2002, in Djougou in northern Benin, Aziz began his football education with Tchemabi FC before continuing with Soleil FC. Europe, however, would become the testing ground for his ambitions. His journey has taken him through Italy, the Czech Republic and France, including spells with Pro Cittiglio, FK Králův Dvůr, Angers MFC, Olympique Saumur, ASD Licata Calcio and ASD Juvenilia Roseto.
It has not been the conventional route of a player developed from childhood inside one of Europe’s elite academies. Instead, Aziz has had to adapt repeatedly to new coaches, teammates, languages and tactical systems. That experience has shaped the footballer he is trying to become.
